Are you familiar with the Peruvian style of music known as Chicha? In a nutshell, the native Peruvians had a form of music known as Huayno, which can be traced back to the Incan Empire, and for all these years they were all jamming out to that, up until the December 31st, 1959 that is. When “The Swinging Sixties” spread across the globe the surf and psychedelic rock of the United States made it’s way south to Peru, and blew their Andes loving minds. Now the indigenous people were used to Zamfiresque pan pipes and and other musical instruments that went back thousands of years and didn’t have easy access to electric guitars and basses, but that didn’t stop them from making the best with what they could get, and thus Chicha was born. The nachos at Val’s Restaurant are kind of like that.

Do you remember the halcyon days of the 1920’s when handlebar moustaches and suspenders were worn, cherry phosphates drunk, pork belly eaten, and The Charleston danced? Well unless you are currently in your 90’s probably not, or you’re a liar. If only there was a place to get such things as olde tymey burgers and elixirs these days! Boom, there is, The Fix Burger Bar, and not only do they have burgers, but also nachos, which is strange because nachos didn’t even exist until ‘43...

This is why Malaysia is winning in the Burger King Game.

Because a fast food chain wouldn't be a fast food chain without cashing in with products based on whatever popular franchise is currently in movie theaters, Malaysian Burger King's, or maybe Burger King Malaysia, are introducing a line of Godzilla foods. For some reason in Malaysia Godzilla is associated with Nachos, possibly because they are very confused with the geographic locations of both Japan and Mexico?

I have got to say, Kickstarter plugging The Field Guide to Nachos as their project of the day was probably the greatest thing I've seen on the internet, and I've watched that video of the whale exploding. SO great in fact that them plugging it got us the required backing money to make this bad boy possible! Just wanted to give you good folks a heads up that the posts may be a little sparse for the next 19 days until the Kickstarter is over, but there will be plenty of updates regarding The Guide here for your information.
