The most tasty thing in the world, I think, are nachos. I live on a placid island of gustatory ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that I should voyage far, because all I need to eat is those. The culinary sciences, each straining in their own direction, have hitherto harmed me little; but some day the piecing together of delicious knowledge will open up such terrifyingly scrumptious vistas of food that I shall either get fat from eating it all or flee from the deadly light of a food that might be better than nachos into the peace and safety of never eating again. Essay: Secret Disney Nachos
Disney World has always been a land, nay, a world of magic and mystery. A place of magical enchantment built to bring joy and smiles to the faces of children and be the embodiment of their cartoon dreams. A place of mystery as we will never truly know where the secret bunker containing Walt Disney’s cryogenically frozen head is, or how many people have died on the property thanks to their incredible power over Florida zoning law. Both are interesting, but what if they could combine magic, mystery, and, running the alliterative steak, nachos?

Established in 1879, Huber’s Cafe is the oldest restaurant in Portland Oregon, and boy does it look it. Not in a negative way mind you, but it does look like the sort of place a gangster in a period piece would get whacked. What I’m saying is that it’s the kind of restaurant your grandparents or great aunt would love, and while those places usually have great turkey dinners and meatloafs and steaks they are typically lacking in nachos. If there weren’t any nachos though, why would we be reviewing them here?

It’s summertime in America, and with the crazy new nacho offerings from the Wisconsin State Fair, our country is prouder and stronger and better. After checking out this year's sampling of nachos, why would we ever want to return to the nacho free past we were less than four short years ago? Let’s examine this year’s offerings.
